Operations & Copacking Lead

About the Role

We are the team behind Sweetgrass Granola, a premium granola brand, but we are also a growing hub for contract manufacturing (copacking). We help other food brands bring their products to life by handling their production, mixing, and fulfillment.

We are looking for a sharp, self-starting Operations & Copacking Lead to be the "engine" of our warehouse. You will be the right hand to the owners, ensuring that our own brand stays stocked while managing the complex logistics of our external copacking clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Copacking Management: Act as the primary lead for our external clients. This includes tracking their production schedules, fulfilling their orders (2–4 hours daily), and ensuring their specific recipes and standards are met.

• Logistics & FBA: Own the fulfillment process. You will handle Amazon FBA shipments for our copacking clients, ensuring all labels, paperwork, and freight are handled perfectly.

• Inventory & Procurement: Proactively monitor ingredient levels for multiple brands. You’ll be responsible for ordering supplies, receiving freight, and organizing the warehouse so that production never hits a bottleneck.

• Production "Swing" Support: You aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. You’ll jump onto the production line to assist our crew when needed.

• Team Leadership: Help coordinate the daily workflow of the production staff, keeping everyone on task and ensuring we hit our weekly output goals.

Qualifications

• The "General Manager" Mindset: You can juggle multiple priorities at once. You understand that managing three different clients’ needs requires high-level organization and attention to detail.

• Physical Ability: Comfortable lifting 50lb bags of ingredients and staying active in a production environment.

• Logistical Fluency: Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory management. 

• Self-Directed: You see what needs to be done—whether it's organizing a messy pallet or re-forecasting a production run—and you do it without being asked.

Schedule & Compensation

• Hours: ~20 hours per week (Targeting Monday–Friday with some flexibility).

• Growth: As we continue to scale our copacking services, there is potential for this role to grow in hours and responsibility.
