Wellness Clerk

Good Foods Co-op is seeking a high energy, customer-service driven employee to fill our part-time Wellness Clerk position. The candidate is required to work in a fast pace work environment and must have a high level of organization. Previous experience with grocery or retail, supplements and body care preferred. This position will be scheduled on Saturday and must be able to work flexible hours including availability for evening and weekend shifts. 

The Wellness Clerk is responsible for ensuring the Wellness Department including supplements, body care and the Herb and Spice area are properly stocked with product. Utilizing the First in First out (FIFO) method, the employee will monitor the inventory and will stock the product on the shelves. The Wellness Clerk should exhibit exceptional customer service, and carry a strong knowledge of supplements body care, herbs, spices, and natural food products. 

Monitors product quality and freshness, and ensure proper rotation of product. Follow department procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking product. Follow and comply with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices. Exhibits exceptional service for customers and staff and ensures that all department staff is customer-focused and upholding the Good Foods customer service standards at all times. Remain abreast of changing owner/customer needs, new products, and effective selling techniques. Coordinate department efforts, with the Department Manager, to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the Wellness Department. Educate team members and customers on new, local, and private label products

Successful candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work as an effective team member, and a high degree of reliability. Must be able to tolerate repeated lifting, bending, twisting, occasional climbing, and lift to 50 pounds
