SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 

An Employer Engagement Manager (EEM) is responsible for contacting and recruiting business and industry leaders within a defined geographical region of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to assist JAG Kentucky Students in becoming employed upon graduation. The EEM will assist the Director of Development, including but not limited to the development of strategic plans, employer recruitment and student engagement. The individual must be a well-organized self-starter with superb communications skills, a high personal level of integrity and the ability to present JAG KY in a professional manner at all times.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

          Employer Engaement Manager Duties

  • Ensures that JAG KY mission is adhered to and Employer Engagement model standards are met through employer visits, classroom observations, discussion with company supervisors and other personnel in agreement with the Director of Development.
  • Enhances status and perception of programs by developing and maintaining effective working relationships with business/industry leaders and community leaders, and by serving as liaison between companies and JAG
  • Ensures that quality direct service is provided to clients by monitoring outcomes, observing and overseeing processes such as student selection based on skills sets, and obtaining feedback from employers.
  • Ensures that all documentation and reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion, especially keeping the new Employer Engagement database updated.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of JAG KY Employer Engagement
  • Assists in scheduling field trips and guest speakers in conjunction with the Employer Engagement Team for each JAG Program in their Region
  • Responsible for the researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for JAG programs and other initiatives, ensuring alignment with funding guidelines and objectives.
  • Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities by identifying potetntial partners, creating proposals, and maintaining relationships to secure funding and support for events and programs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Degree in business, education, related discipline or professional experience may substitute for degree
  • Skilled in human relations, leadership, supervision, and motivational techniques
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel
  • Skills necessary to effectively organize, manage, and achieve multiple goals
  • Ability to educate a variety of constituencies and interested parties about the program
  • Ability to bring staff together to meet a common goal
  • Ability to work with the Directors of each department to meet the needs of the organization

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Development

 

Salary Range:  $55,000 – 60,000 Annually
